Good nutrition is essential for a healthy mind & body

Nutritional Therapy uses science-based research and applies this to promote wellbeing and health. Diet plays a huge role in our wellbeing – it enables us to maintain focus and improves brain function. It helps with stress reduction as certain foods can increase the stress response and reduce a person’s ability to cope under pressure. Therapists also look at lifestyle as this will influence diet choices. It is recognised that this is not a one size fits all approach and that it is important to identify the foods and lifestyle patterns individuals currently have before making recommendations.

Nutritional Therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine and is relevant for individuals with chronic conditions, as well as those looking for support to enhance their health and wellbeing.

Nutrition Immunity

Our immunity is dependant on many factors and our food types and gut flora play a huge role in ensuring we can fight off bugs. For example, depending on your gut flora type you may be able to fight off a large number of unwanted and dangerous Salmonella bacteria but with other people with a less balanced gut flora,  they may become very ill with the same number of bacteria. Improving our diet and gut health betters our chances to stay healthy.
