Digital Wellbeing

Dr. Rebecca Semmens-Wheeler (Doctor of Psychology) will be providing this wonderfully informative and practical session. This session will look at the role that technology plays in our lives with an overview of the potential pitfalls and the benefits of the digital world and technology. The session includes social, emotional and neurological effects that contribute to wellbeing. There will also be an opportunity to discuss techniques to help to get the best out of technology and promote digital wellbeing. The aim of the session is to have each person take away at least one practical step they can implement in their lives.

It has an impact on brain wave patterns and emotions, the nervous system and it can actually raise serotonin levels (the key hormone that stabilises our mood, feelings of well-being, and happiness).
