Yoga and Art Retreat in the Heart of Harborne
Sunday 28 June 2026
This is a day-long sanctuary designed to bring you back to center.
Held in the heart of leafy Harborne, this retreat combines yoga with the liberating flow of intuitive art-making.

Do you feel the need to hit the “reset” button? In the rush of daily life, our creative spark and physical wellbeing are often the first things we neglect.
“I’m not creative.” “I can’t even draw a straight line.”
Most of us have an inner critic—a voice that tells us art is only for “Artists.” During this session, we will invite that voice to step aside.
That inner critic isn’t just loud; it’s exhausting. It tells us we have to be ‘productive’ or ‘perfect.’ At this retreat, we aren’t aiming for perfection—we are aiming for permission. Permission to be messy, permission to be still, and permission to rediscover the part of you that existed before the ‘busy-ness’ took over.
‘As a self-taught artist myself, I know exactly what it feels like to doubt your own creativity. I have designed this day specifically to bypass that doubt, using techniques to help you simply enjoy the act of creation.’ – Gosia

Why Yoga & Art?
After 14 years of teaching yoga, I’ve seen how often we get ‘stuck’ in our heads. Art and Yoga are the two most powerful tools I know to get us back into our bodies. By movement, we clear the space; by creating, we fill it with something new.
By the end of our retreat together, you will have:
- A Quieter Mind: A nervous system that has been lovingly reset.
- A New Perspective: Evidence that you are creative, regardless of what you’ve told yourself.
- A Physical Anchor: Your unique artwork to serve as a visual reminder of your breakthrough.
All This Awaits You
- Expert Instruction: Guidance through both a yoga and the afternoon art workshop.
- Premium Materials: All paints, paper, and brushes are provided.
- Prop Hire: Use of yoga blocks and straps.
- Refreshments: A selection of boutique herbal teas and light snacks.
- Intimacy: A small group setting (max. 13).
- Small Group & Personalised Attention
- Friendly group vibes, and plenty of time to breathe and be.

Morning – Yoga
With over 14 years of experience as a yoga teacher and therapist, Gosia has dedicated her career to understanding the profound connection between the body and the mind. Her teaching goes beyond physical postures; it is rooted in therapeutic movement and the belief that our mats are a space for genuine emotional release.
Drawing on 14 years of teaching yoga, Gosia will curate the morning flow to specifically regulate the nervous system, making it the perfect gateway for afternoon creativity.
When you join Gosia for this retreat, you aren’t just attending a workshop; you are being guided by a seasoned professional who understands how to hold space for both physical challenge and creative discovery.

Afternoon – Intuitive Art-Making Session
As a self-taught artist, Gosia discovered that the same “flow state” found in a deep yoga practice is the key to unlocking creativity. She created this retreat to share this synergy—helping others use yoga to quiet the inner critic and let the artist within emerge.
Gosia will guide you through a process of Intuitive Art-Making. This isn’t a traditional art class where you follow a strict set of rules or try to replicate a specific image. Instead, it is a journey of self-expression where the process is far more important than the final product. You’ll be using acrylic paints, inks, collage pieces and other mixed media to create your artwork.
All materials will be provided.
What to expect?
- Guided Release: Using the openness you found during your morning yoga, you will learn to move paint across the chosen surface based on how you feel, not what you see.
- No Skill Required: You don’t need to know how to sketch or mix colors. Gosia will provide a structured yet free-flowing framework that ensures everyone creates something meaningful.
- Community & Connection: This is a beautiful opportunity to connect with like-minded people in a warm, supportive environment. While the art-making is an internal journey, the shared space allows for quiet companionship and the joy of being creative alongside others.
- A Unique Outcome: Because this artwork comes from your own internal “flow,” the result will be a piece that is uniquely yours—a visual map of your day of retreat.
- Take It Home: You will leave with a physical reminder of your experience, ready to hang on your wall or keep in your private collection as a symbol of your creative breakthrough.
The Goal: To move from the “thinking” brain to the “feeling” heart. You’ll be surprised at what emerges when you stop trying to make “good” art and simply start making your art.
Investment: £75 Early Bird (until 31st May) Standard Price £85 thereafter.

FAQ
Where is the Yoga and Art retreat taking place?
Our retreat is held in the Lower Hall at Moor Pool Hall, located in the heart of Harborne’s historic Moor Pool Suburb. Moor Pool is a hidden gem of Birmingham, known for its unique character and serene, village-like atmosphere. The hall itself is a beautiful heritage building that provides a peaceful, grounded setting—perfect for our day of yoga and creative exploration.
Address: Lower Moor Pool Hall, 37 The Circle, Harborne, Birmingham, B17 9DY (scroll to the bottom to see how to access the Lower Moor Pool Hall)
What should I wear?
Since we are moving from the yoga mat to the art table, we recommend wearing comfortable, layered clothing that you can move freely in. For the afternoon art session, please bring an old shirt, an apron, or clothes you don’t mind getting a splash of paint on. While we aim for a mindful practice, creativity can sometimes be beautifully messy!
Do I need to bring my own yoga mat?
We provide yoga mats and props for all guests. However, if you have a personal mat that you feel most comfortable on, you are more than welcome to bring it along.
I’ve never done yoga (or art) before. Can I come?
Absolutely. This retreat is about presence, not perfection. The morning yoga is a deep practice, but Gosia provides modifications for all levels. The art session is entirely intuitive—there are no “mistakes” here, and no prior artistic or yoga skill is required.
What is the “Early Bird” discount?
Secure your space early and save. Book your spot before 31st May to take advantage of our £75 Early Bird rate. After this date, the investment returns to the standard rate of £85.
To claim your discount, simply enter the code EARLYBIRD26 on the payment page.
What is your cancellation policy?
We offer a full refund for cancellations made up to 14 days before the event (by midnight on Sunday UK time, 14th June 2026). After that, we can offer a refund only if we are able to fill your space from the waiting list or if you can find someone to take your place.
What are the options for lunch?
You have total flexibility:
- Stay In: Bring a packed lunch and enjoy the quiet of our retreat space and connect with fellow attendees. Enjoy a selection of free herbal teas and light snacks.
- Explore: Take a 10-minute stroll onto Harborne High Street. It is home to wonderful shops and cafes like Waitrose, Boston Tea Party, the Plough, Damascena, and many others, where you can grab a fresh salad or sandwich.
Can I bring a friend?
Of course! We’d love to have you both. Sharing a day of retreat is a wonderful way to connect. When booking via the link, simply choose ‘2’ from the quantity/ticket options. Once your booking is confirmed, Gosia will send a follow-up email with a link for your friend to fill out their own health and intake form. This ensures I have all the therapeutic and emergency contact information I need for both of you!
I have a health condition or injury—can I still participate?
Your safety and wellbeing are my priority. If you have a specific health condition, a recent injury, or are pregnant, I strongly recommend speaking with me directly before you book your space.
With 14 years of experience as a yoga teacher and therapist, I am skilled at adapting movements to suit different bodies. However, a deep yoga practice may not be suitable for everyone. A quick chat or email allows us to discuss your needs in confidence and ensure that the retreat is the right environment for you.
Please reach out to Gosia at info@wellbeinginyouroffice.com for a private chat before completing your booking.
Is the venue accessible for everyone?
Please note that our retreat takes place in the Lower Moor Pool Hall, which unfortunately does not have wheelchair access. There are a number of steps to navigate to enter the space. We want everyone to feel comfortable and safe, so please keep this in mind when booking. If you have any specific concerns regarding mobility or the stairs, please feel free to contact Gosia directly before your visit: info@wellbeinginyouroffice.com.
What is Parking like around the venue?
As the hall is in a residential area and conservation area parking is limited to FREE street parking. If there is no available parking around the Circle we encourage parking on nearby Ravenhurst Road (off Moor Pool Avenue off the Circle) and Wentworth Road (off Wentworth Gate off the Circle ). This is only a short walk from Moor Pool Hall, located on the Circle. Alternatively we are only 10 minutes walk from Harborne High Street. Please see the map below to give you an idea of where we are located. The post code is B17 9DY.
